Timber dismantler
The SM-RH edge stripper is designed for separating individual layers of material, specifically wooden boards or edges from the stack. For effective separation, it's essential to have spacers between each layer. This mechanization replaces the manual dismantling of material, which is significantly physically demanding for workers.
Technologically, the equipment is applicable wherever cut timber edges enter the production process. The edges are placed on the transverse input conveyor using a forklift and serve as an intermediate storage, reducing the frequency of material loading.
The edge dismantler is designed to dispense material for further processing in individual layers and pieces.
Operating Principle
- an edge with material is loaded onto the transverse input conveyor
- the lifting forks of the dismantler, which connect to the transverse input conveyor, lift the entire edge to a height that allows the top layer of timber to smoothly slide onto the fall stops. During this, the spacers fall through
- the fall stops halt individual layers of timber and ensure a gradual slide of the material
- at the output of the dismantler, there is an exit transverse chain conveyor with separators, which dispenses individual pieces of timber for the next operation
- after dismantling the entire edge of the material, the lifting forks return to their base position, and the cycle can be repeated
